Our Current Community Park Projects
Community park projects are led by dedicated volunteers and community groups who work Parks Foundation to imagine what’s possible, secure funding, and see the vision through from concept to construction.
Our Project Support Program offers community organizations vital resources for projects come to fruition, such as accounting services, accepting project donations, and issuing tax receipts for eligible donations. Through our Amateur Sport Grant Program, we provide financial support as well as ongoing guidance throughout the duration of every project.

Access4All is a student-led project with local partners to make the Pinewind playground more accessible—creating an inclusive space for Pearson ACCESS/ALP students and the whole community.
Rocky Ridge Royal Oak Community Association - Play Together Project
The Play Together Project is a community‑driven initiative to transform an aging Royal Oak playground into a welcoming, inclusive space where every child can play, explore, and belong. Shaped by input from local families and kids, the new playground will spark adventure, encourage exploration, and become a truly special destination in our neighbourhood – a place where children want to play, stay, and return.
Features will include accessible equipment, multisensory play elements, and a welcoming seating area that supports connection across ages and abilities.
With donor support, we are creating a vibrant community space that nurtures healthy outdoor play, strengthens neighbourhood connections, and ensures every child has a place to truly play together.
This playground redesign project is a collaboration between the Rocky Ridge Royal Oak Community Association (RRROCA), City of Calgary and Parks Foundation.
